Subjects in the International Baccalaureate IB Diploma Programme (DP)
To complete the programme and receive the prestigious IB Diploma, students must complete six subject groups Language Acquisition (English), Language and Literature (Vietnamese), Sciences, Mathematics, Business Management, and Visual Arts. At the same time, with the aim of enhancing the learning experience and challenging the students in applying knowledge in practice, the DP programme requires students to pass three core subjects which are Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS).
– Theory of Knowledge (TOK): provides an opportunity for students to reflect on the nature of knowledge and how we know what we claim to know.
– Extended Essay (EE): 4,000 words in length, created by students themselves with content related to a field or a major in the curriculum.
– Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) activities: are extracurricular activities and projects that reflect the dynamic, collaborative, community-oriented students.
