“Project-based Learning” in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme
Different from the traditional form of education that only focuses on memorization, project-based learning in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) requires students to be proactive in learning, helping them achieve what is called the IB Learner Profile. All are aimed at assessing how students acquire knowledge and apply it to real-life situations.
Through project-based learning and inquiry, students will be actively engaged in exploring, learning, and in-depth research on a particular topic or question. As a result, students will have a deeper understanding of the concepts and know how to apply them in practice. In addition, students are also allowed to use technology devices to support learning.
