In April 2026, Tesla Education was officially authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to offer the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). This milestone marks an exciting new chapter for our school, providing students with access to a globally recognized curriculum while offering two flexible learning pathways designed to meet different academic goals and future plans. 

What is the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP)? 

The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) is an internationally recognized curriculum for students aged 16 to 19 that develops not only academic excellence but also the skills, mindset, and character needed to succeed at university and beyond. 

Rather than focusing solely on subject knowledge, the programme encourages students to become critical thinkers, independent learners, effective communicators, and responsible global citizens. 

At Tesla Education, students can choose between two IB Diploma pathways based on their individual strengths, interests, and university aspirations. 

Pathway 1: Full IB Diploma Programme (Full IBDP) 

The Full IB Diploma Programme is designed for students who wish to experience the complete IB curriculum over two years. 

In addition to studying six academic subjects across different disciplines, students complete the three Core components of the IB Diploma Programme: 

• Theory of Knowledge (TOK) 
• Extended Essay (EE) 
• Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) 

This comprehensive approach enables students to develop strong academic knowledge alongside essential skills such as critical thinking, independent research, and self-management. 

Recognized by universities around the world, the IB Diploma may provide students with a range of advantages, depending on each institution's admissions policies, including:

Pathway 2: IB Courses 

Every student has unique strengths, interests, and educational goals. For those seeking greater flexibility, Tesla also offers the IB Courses pathway. 

Instead of completing the entire IB Diploma Programme, students may choose individual IB subjects that align with their academic strengths, future university plans, or intended career pathways. 

Upon successful completion, students receive IB Course Certificates for each subject studied. 

This pathway is particularly suitable for students who wish to: 

• Focus on specific academic disciplines. 
• Strengthen their university application in selected subject areas. 
• Experience the IB approach to learning without pursuing the full Diploma. 

Depending on students' examination results and individual university policies, IB Course Certificates may also be considered for university admissions or advanced standing in relevant subjects.
