Accordingly, the Integrated International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme at Tesla has a bilingual pathway from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and towards an international programme (monolingual in English, with additional subjects of Literature, History, and Geography in Vietnamese) from the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).
From KG to Grade 5 (PYP), primary students at Tesla will develop in a bilingual environment of English and Vietnamese with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). They acquire Extensive English in a totally natural context and cultivate a solid Vietnamese foundation. Students’ knowledge and skills are enhanced through six focus areas: Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts, Personal, Social and Physical education.
From grades 6 to 10, students are provided with a framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) with eight subject groups, and most are taught in English and prepare students to meet the academic challenges of the IB Diploma Programme (DP). Particularly History, Geography, and Literature are still taught in Vietnamese.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is a challenging two-year pre-university curriculum, primarily aimed at students in grades 11 – 12 which is taught and studied entirely in English. It leads to a qualification that is widely recognized by the world’s leading universities. The IB graduate is respected by universities all around the world, offering high rates of acceptance in those prestigious universities.
