Admission Criteria and Procedures
Tesla Education IB World School welcomes students whose parents align with our mission and vision and meet the following criteria to enrol:
1. Academic Readiness: Students need to show that they can access and benefit from the curriculum, which is evaluated based on their past school records, transcripts, and entrance assessments.
2. Behavioural Record: Students are required to have a positive behavioural record from their previous school.
3. Language Proficiency: Students in Middle School and above must demonstrate a suitable level of English proficiency to engage with the curriculum. This is evaluated through language assessments and interviews.
4. Special Educational Needs (SEN): The school must be able to accommodate the specific needs of students with SEN. Each case is assessed on an individual basis.
Step 1:
Consultation
Please leave your contact information for consultation on our website or contact the Admissions Office directly. The school will reserve a place for your child from the date of application submission. The application fee can be paid while you prepare the required documents and schedule a school tour and consultation.
Step 2:
Entrance Test
- Requirements: Appropriate age as per MOET (Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training) regulations
- Tests: Physical and psychological evaluation
Requirements:
- Appropriate age as per MOET (Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training) regulations
- Academic and Discipline rankings: Good or above
Tests:
- English
- Vietnamese
- Math
- Skills evaluation (For Grade 1)
Requirements:
- Appropriate age as per MOET (Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training) regulations
- Confirmed to have completed the Primary program
- Academic and Discipline rankings: Good or above
Tests:
- English
- Literature
- Math
* Besides the entrance test, students may be required to submit academic transcripts or school records showing previous academic performance.
Step 3:
Placement Decisions
There are four possible outcomes for each application:
- Acceptance: If the applicant meets all requirements and there is vacancy, a formal letter of acceptance is issued.
- Conditional offer: Under some circumstances applicants may be offered a conditional place to monitor their ability to access the programme.
- Waiting list: If there is no vacancy, successful applicants are placed on a waiting list.
- Rejection or deferral: Applicants may be refused admission based on academic or behavioural concerns that the school is unable to manage, or they may be deferred until resources permit the school top support the student.
Step 4:
Enrollment procedure
Parents will complete the payment of tuition and service fees based on the registered information.
Following academic acceptance, the admissions will send an official acceptance letter within one week. In accordance with school policy, the completed Tesla Medical Report with the immunization history together with tuition fee will need to be submitted prior to your child attending school.

- Two years’ previous school records, transcripts and test reports (if applicable)
- Certified English translation of these documents is required for Secondary students
- Letter of recommendation from current teacher
- Completed Tesla Medical Report including immunization history
