Organized from February 20 to 24, 2023, Tesla Book Week 2023 with the theme “One World, Many Stories“ took place with many meaningful and in-depth activities, which contributed to fostering and developing a reading culture as well as creating a lot of fun for students at school.
The magical world of books creates a strong appeal for all ages. Not only discovering more new books, Tesla Book Week has taken place in many new forms, inspiring discovery and promoting reading habits for both students and teachers such as: Poster design,Reading competition, Story writing contest, Book exchange and book donation, Decorating cass door according to book cover, Reading with Mom and Dad, Dressing up as characters in the book.
Right before the event started, primary and middle school students were excited about “Poster Design” based on the theme of Book Week. In the “Reading Competition”, the class with the highest number of minutes of reading will receive its prize. In the “Writing Contest”, the students created unique stories based on their own imaginations and ideas.
Right at the Learning Resource Center, a “Book Swap and Book Donation“ was set up, creating opportunities for the whole school to donate books or share books with each other. At the same time, Tesla Education is also honored to welcome parents who are “mysterious readers”, participate in the “Parents Reading“ activity and share many interesting things when reading books. Hours of open, joyful reading will inspire students to form reading habits and nurture a natural passion for books.
“Dress as a Book Character” is the last activity at Book Week. Students and teachers dress up as favorite characters to express their love for the book. During the Assembly, their efforts were honored to encourage students to cultivate the habit of reading, thereby becoming individuals capable of independent learning and deep understanding.
Tesla Book Week is held annually not only to honor the value that books bring to us, but also to create more connections between schools, families and students in forming and nurturing a reading culture for everyone.
