Celebrating Women Who Inspire – International Day of Girls & Women’s Day at Tesla

Tesla Education 27 Oct, 2025 7:19 am

At Tesla Education, we believe that every girl has the power to shape a better future. This year, in celebration of the International Day of Girls and Vietnam’s Women’s Day, we honor the incredible women who lead, nurture, and inspire our community.

From our visionary founder Ms. Trung, to our Head of School, Ms Kim Peters, and three remarkable Tesla mothers, Ms. Thuy Huong, Ms. Thu Uyen, Ms. Yen Linh, who balance success in their professional careers with the love and dedication of motherhood. Each sends an inspiring message to our girls.

The Founder’s Vision – Preserving the Vietnamese Soul in a Global World

For Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hương Trung, Founder of Tesla Education, the greatest motivation has never been fame or profit, but rather a heartfelt aspiration to create an international-standard learning environment that carries the soul of Vietnam.

“I hope every Vietnamese child can take pride in their roots, no matter where they study or work in the world,” shared Ms. Trung.

After more than ten years of growth, Tesla has become a unique school offering the IB Curriculum (PYP authorized, MYP and DP in the candidacy process), with the Cambridge IGCSE and Vietnam’s MOET curriculum — establishing a strong and sustainable academic foundation.

Education – A Mission That Begins from the Heart

At Tesla, education is not merely about imparting knowledge, but about nurturing character, fostering national pride, and building the capacity for global integration.

Ms. Kim Peters, Head of School, shares:

Breaking Barriers and Building Futures: Women Leading the Way at Tesla

As an Asian woman who moved to Australia to pursue my career, my leadership journey has been shaped by both resilience and purpose. Along the way, I encountered not just the well-known “glass ceiling”, the invisible barrier that limits women’s advancement, but also what many of us call the “bamboo ceiling,” an additional layer of challenges faced by Asian women navigating leadership roles in global contexts.

Despite these barriers, I have witnessed and lived the strength, intelligence, and determination that women bring to leadership. We lead with empathy and humanity, but also with strategic thinking, innovation, and deep knowledge. These qualities, often underestimated, are precisely what the world needs in its leaders today.

One of the reasons I have dedicated my career to international education in Asia is my belief that schools can and must play a transformative role in nurturing the next generation of female leaders. At Tesla Education, our mission goes beyond academic excellence. We are committed to building confidence from a young age, empowering girls to embrace their identities, speak their minds, and pursue leadership opportunities fearlessly.

Through the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Tesla’s mission, we create an environment where girls learn to think critically, act compassionately, and see themselves as future changemakers, regardless of personality type or background.

I believe deeply that leadership is not defined by title or power, but by the courage to shape a better future. And I am proud that at Tesla, we are shaping a generation of young women who will do just that, breaking ceilings, building bridges, and leading with both strength and heart.

Inspiring Mothers – The Tesla Community

Tesla is proud to have many accomplished mothers among its parent community — women who have excelled in education, healthcare, and business, and who not only accompany the school but also help spread its humanistic educational philosophy.

Parent Thuy Huong, mother Vũ Tá Uyên Linh – Lớp 9  of a Tesla student, shares:

“I believe that the key elements shaping the dignity of a modern woman are compassion, integrity, adaptability, and resilience. These qualities must be cultivated from a very young age, and parents — especially mothers — should be role models within the family.”

Parent Thu Uyen, mother of a Grade 5 student, also shared:

“Women should dare to change their mindset, embrace new knowledge, develop their strengths, and always maintain a spirit of lifelong learning.”

Parent Yen Linh, mother of a Tesla student, expressed:

“As women, no matter our age, may we always shine, discover, and protect our own dreams.”

Co-Creating the Future

Tesla Education looks toward the future with the mission of nurturing global citizens with a Vietnamese identity, through a humanistic, progressive, and globally integrated learning environment.

The school is currently open for applications and scholarships for the MYP and DP programs, welcoming families who share the same vision and wish to join Tesla on the journey to building a sustainable future.
